Gratitude is certainly not an offering to be made only at Thanksgiving.

But…

the Thanksgiving holiday is an opportune time for making a hard stop and giving some intentional effort toward growing in gratitude.

Below are 10 of my favorite FREE resources for just this purpose.  There is still one week remaining before Thanksgiving.  Perhaps one or more of these resources will make it just a bit easier for you to make that hard stop.

(**I shared these same resources in a post last year, My Top 10 Thanksgiving Resources.  They are so good, they bear repeating.)

Resources Easily Suited to One Week’s Time

Praying Scriptures of Thanksgiving  – A FREE printable for praying Scriptures of Thanksgiving.  Created by His Mercy is New.

“Today I am Thankful for…” FREE Printable –  Love this idea.  Frame the printable and use a dry erase marker to see what your family members are thankful throughout the season.  Possibly the beginning of a new family tradition?  Printable by Somewhat Simple.

Give Thanks Scripture Cards –  Cute “Thanksgiving/Gratitude focused” Scripture cards.  Print them out and carry them with you.  Find the FREE printable at Second Chance to Dream.

Thanksgiving Placemat –  Simple “I am thankful for…” Thanksgiving dinner placement.  (This link is to a Pinterest pin.  I was unable to locate a link to the original source.)

FREE Christian Printables for Fall – Decorate your home with God’s Word.  Printables from The Unabashed Life.

5-Day Gratitude Journaling Challenge –  A FREE guided journaling activity to help you grow in gratitude.  Provided by The National Association of Christian Journal Writers.

Resources That Will Need to Be Adjusted to A One Week Time Frame

Make adjustment to any of the 30-day resources by completing only the first seven items in the list or pick and choose the ones you want to engage with.

Gratitude Journal Prompts – 30 days of “gratitude focused” journaling prompts.  From textmyjournal.com.
Thanksgiving 30 Day Scripture Writing Plan – Use this writing plan to help you focus a few minutes each day on Scriptures of Thanksgiving.  Created by Shannon at Sweet Blessings.

Growing in Gratitude:  A 30-Day Challenge –   This “Choosing Gratitude” challenge is one of the many challenges offered at Revive Our Hearts.

Gratitude Scripture Challenge – 30 days of Scripture focused on the giving of thanks.  A multi-use challenge, use it as a guide for reading and/or writing out the Scriptures.  And on the days when you are able, go even deeper into the Scriptures listed in this challenge by engaging in one or more of these methods:  Verse Mapping, Praying the Scripture in Color, journaling, meditating, or memorizing.  The Gratitude Scripture Challenge is the newest Scripture Challenge at www.deborahhaddix.com.

  • Thank you for these resources, Deborah. I love the “Today I am thankful for” free printable and the Thanksgiving Placement. I will certainly be using the placemat for our Thanksgiving meal this Thursday.

  • Rachel, Those are two of my favorites, also! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
