Jesus, the Messiah… the Christ… my Lord and Savior —

BORN UNTO US!

Christmas is just days away!  What a wonderful time this is to draw aside and think on those words — Jesus, Born Unto Us!

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.   Luke 2:11

“Jesus, our Hope has come. Unto us a Child is born…. Glory to God in the Highest. He has brought this great Love unto us.”

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.  John 1:14

“Unto us the Son of God has come.  Sing Hallelujah…. God is with us. Sing Hallelujah. Shining in the darkness.  Light to all the world.”

But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.  Galatians 4:4-5

“Humbly He lay, Creator come as creature….  True Son of God, yet bearing human feature.  He entered earth to reverse Adam’s fall.”Isaiah 9:6-7 – For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon[a] his shoulder,
and his name shall be called[b]
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of his government and of peace
there will be no end,
on the throne of David and over his kingdom,
to establish it and to uphold it
with justice and with righteousness
from this time forth and forevermore.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.“How many kings step down from their thrones?… How many gods have poured out their hearts to romance a world that is torn all apart?… How many greats have become the least for me?…  How many fathers gave up their sons for me?  Only One did that for me.”https://youtu.be/5UyiAnUE53UHow Many Kings – Downhere“Jesus came to a messy world… to prepare a way for [us] to go home.”

Matthew 1:21-23 – 21 She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” 22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet:

23 “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
and they shall call his name Immanuel”

(which means, God with us).
